Shift workers have a higher level of burnout
New research published this week in Frontiers in Public Health found a higher level of burnout for shift workers, particularly when those shifts were irregular. Shift workers also experienced higher levels of cynicism than employees with daytime or more regular hours.

Philips is recalling several models of CPAP machines distributed between March 26, 2019, and March 22, 2023. The Trilogy Evo, Evo O2, EV300, and Evo Universal ventilators are being recalled after dust and dirt from the environment was detected in the air path of some devices. Sprinter Gabby Thomas harnesses the power of sleep
Olympic sprinter Gabby Thomas attributes her success on the track to her sleep habits. The 2021 bronze medalist told Associated Press that sleep holds as much importance to her as a workout, a physio session, or proper nutrition. And she knows what she’s talking about: Thomas studied neurobiology and global health as an undergraduate at Harvard University and recently graduated with her master’s degree from the University of Texas. Applying her understanding of sleep science, Thomas sees a direct correlation between quality sleep and her sprint times. She currently has the top 200-meter time and is a crowd favorite this season.
