A group of four Berry Pomegranate Sangrias
Jackie Alpers

The deep flavor of sangria — and, of course, the tasty fruit that soaks in it — is such a welcome, sophisticated treat. Now you can enjoy it without the alcohol thanks to this mix of full-flavored juices. Swap out the orange wedges and/or berries for chunks of apple or pear if you like.

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, scrubbed and dried
  • 1½ cups strawberries, hulled, quartered
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 2 16-ounce bottles unsweetened pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup orange juice (preferably fresh squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ⅛ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • Lemon- or orange-flavored seltzer
  • Ice

Directions

  1. Cut the orange into thin slices and remove seeds. Quarter each slice. Reserve 6 wedges; place remaining wedges in a pitcher. Add the strawberries and raspberries to the pitcher.
  2. Add pomegranate juice, orange juice, lemon juice, and salt to the pitcher; stir gently to combine, taking care not to break up the berries. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours.
  3. Fill 6 glasses with ice. Divide the sangria and fruit evenly among the glasses; top each with seltzer. Garnish each glass with a reserved orange wedge and serve.
